Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the recommended timeframe for planning an "In Spirit Shower?
A baby shower can be held at any time but a general rule of thumb is to hold the shower in the six weeks before the Mother's Due Date.
A wedding shower also can be held at any time preceding the wedding date but, like a baby shower, is normally held in the six weeks preceding the wedding date.
2. What timeframe does Tutto Luccica uses to mail invitations and facilitate an "In Spirit Shower?"
At Tutto Luccica we use a six week planning calendar. You pick the shower date and then we backwards plan as follows:
- Create invitations: 4 weeks prior
- Mail invitations: 3 weeks prior
- Send email reminder to invitees: 1 week prior
- Send note to recipient to discreetly announce the events to come: 1 week prior
- Mail package to arrive 1 to 2 days prior to "In Spirit Shower" date
3. How is the invitation mailed to insure there is no damage to the cookie cutter?
We have taken great care to find an appropriate bubble mailer that looks great and protects the cookie cutter favor in the mail. We stipulate the packages are to be hand-stamped which reduces the amount of wear and tear on the packaging.
4. What happens if I need to cancel the "In Spirit" shower?
If you have to cancel, contact us immediately at info@tuttoluccica.com or call 1-617-395-7473 to let us know. We will refund in accordance with our refund policies on the customer service page. If invitations have already been sent, we will send an email to all the email addresses provided on the website hostess page discreetly informing participants of the cancellation. We can not, however, be responsible to contact anyone whose email we do not have.
5. How do I explain to the "Guest of Honor" what is happening when packages begin to arrive without ruining the surprise?
One week before the event date, we will send a letter to the recipient of an "In Spirit Shower." This note will explain that over the next few days they will receive gifts and good wishes for their upcoming wedding or birth of their baby. The note will explain that there is a designated date for opening all these items but that there is no need to stress or worry because no one will arrive at their door!!
6. Even though I am throwing a surprise "In Spirit Shower", I do intend to be at her home for the opening of the presents. Do you have any suggestions on how to make a small gathering special?
Every hostess page has a connection to a tool box where we provide suggestions on how to enhance the experience for the recipient. Suggestions such as flower arrangements to send, decorations that coordinate with the shower theme and a recipe to make cookies from the favors you have sent out. All this and links to help you make this event even more amazing then it already promises to be!
